Our time together in the Sea Circle is all about creating space – and a flow – in which you can connect to the sea, and your inner knowing.
Allow the Sea Circle to inspire you to create space for yourself wherever you can, and to treat yourself with kindness.
Each month, you’ll receive Sea Circle materials that support you to use this time to connect to the sea. Whether you have a couple of minutes, or a couple of hours.

If you find it hard to make time for yourself, you can find some practical tips on ways to make time over here.
The more often you’re able to connect to the sea, the more you’ll start to feel a shift, moment by moment…
Give yourself time to arrive
When you join the Sea Circle, you’ll receive a lot of new materials and information at once. There’s no rush. Allow yourself all the time you need to ease in gently.
Some of you will love diving straight in – immersing yourself in everything I send. Others will prefer to take a couple of weeks or more just to let it all arrive as you settle into being here – like sand stirred up by a passing wave. Neither approach is better than the other – it’s a journey to listen within to what feels good to you, and to find your own flow.
You might simply read what comes and let it wash through you – trusting that it is there to turn to when the time is right to go deeper. When you’re ready, pause to become clear, and to set your intention for your time here.
As you allow the sea’s gifts and wisdom to wash gently through your life, the months will begin to feel more spacious.
Choose a way through that suits you
Do you prefer to make instinctive choices, without a fixed schedule? Then you could simply trust your intuition to guide you through the materials each month. Let the sea be your inspiration, and connect to the materials as and when you need them.
Or do you know you thrive on structure? If so, you might choose to set aside a little time each week or day to connect to all that we share here – and create a regular Sea Circle practice for yourself. There are some ideas of how to do this below.
But most importantly, my hope and intention with the monthly gifts of The Sea Circle is not to overwhelm you. It is to offer you a beach of glittering shells – an array from which to choose the shell that speaks to you most in that moment.
Sometimes that shell might be some time spent listening to a meditation, sometimes it might be pausing to complete a journal prompt. Some months you might simply choose to watch or listen to the sea in a moment of overwhelm – and not pick up any of the shells at all.
Shape a regular Sea Circle practice
You might plan to give yourself 20-30 minutes at the start of each 3 month cycle to consciously set an intention. And then, as the month progresses, give yourself another 30 minutes each week to explore the Sea Circle materials.
Alternatively – or additionally – you could simply encourage yourself to find a couple of minutes a day to breathe with the sea, inspired by a postcard print or a screensaver. Below, you’ll find some suggestions of ways you might choose to shape a regular practice:
1. Weekly or fortnightly Sea Circle Check-in: 30 minutes
Reconnect to our theme each week or fortnight
- Listen to the sea soul meditation
- Play sea sounds as you…
- …Read the weekly email
- …Try one of the mindful practices, rituals or journal prompts
2. Daily Sea Circle Check-in (or a couple of times a week): 1- 5 minutes
Each day, you could try a different way of connecting, or repeat a familiar practice
- Play the sea sounds as you go about your day
- Use your postcard print or screensaver as a prompt to take three breaths: think of the sea, your intention, and our theme
- Listen to the 2-3 minute meditation or try a single journal prompt
At other times each month, you might want to go deeper:
1. At the start of each Sea Circle three month cycle: 20-30 minutes
Connect to this cycle’s theme, and set an intention to invite this into your life.
- Take some time to mull on the first couple of emails
- Explore the journal prompts
- Begin to set your intention for this quarter
2. A mini self-led retreat each month: 20-30 minutes
Take your first dive into the materials
- Read the intro email, and play sea sounds as you…
- …Download any materials you want offline access to
- …Place your postcard somewhere you’ll see it often
- …Add screensavers to your phone/computer,
- …Pause and reflect on this month’s ocean quality
- …Reconnect to your intention
3. A community event each month: 60 -75 minutes
Connect and share; reflecting on your experience of the theme.
- Join our quarterly ocean retreat or Ocean Heart Space; or make time to watch the recording
Be fluid, and allow yourself to find a flow that works best for you. Knowing that this too can shift and evolve as the year progresses; and you develop a deeper understanding of the sea within and without.
