At its simplest, my intention with Ocean Altar is to hold a sacred space for you, and to tend to it daily. Lovingly, and to my full capacity. To create an energetic container in which you can connect to the ocean, and awaken compassionate dialogue with your inner wisdom.
Yet there is also a deeper intention beneath this. To build the loving strength that is required for us each to live into our soul purpose. My deeper intention is to ready us. To ready you.
Because I believe that you have something that is needed at this time of Great Turning. That’s why you’re here, now. Even and especially when all that turning makes you feel too dizzy to trust in that.
I also believe that when we truly honour our connection to nature, and awaken our soul knowing, everything else falls into place.
So, I call in the sea to support your capacity to show up with love. For yourself, first of all. And then, as you gather strength, for all of us.
You are needed. We are all needed.

What is the Ocean Altar: The Journey?
Ocean Altar: The Journey is a monthly membership designed to deepen your relationship with the divine ocean altar that exists within you; and with the ocean itself.
Each month, you will be guided through new Ocean Altar practices. And use these to deepen your connection to the sea, and to yourself, at your home Ocean Altar. Each experience building on and strengthening the one before.
You’ll regularly refresh your intentions, uncover new layers to be released or healed, and deepen your capacity for connection, clarity and calm. So that you can move with devotion toward your soul purpose.
As you practice at your home altar, I will also be creating and honouring sacred space for you here by the sea. Energetic space that supports you to release, expand and transform.
If you’d like to embrace deeper possibilities of transformation, you can also choose to work with me individually to support your progress.

How will you participate in Ocean Altar: The Journey?
You can commit just a few minutes a day or longer to the activities below. You choose, based on the time you have available. I’ll be contributing loving presence throughout, for the moments when you can’t.
~ As we start each month, you’ll define an intention to pursue, and a block to release.
~ As we progress, you’ll also notice any challenges that arise, and identify a specific area in which to receive some healing.
As you share these with me, I will include them in my ritual ocean practices (more about that below) and hold them in the sacred space of this container. If you’re unable or don’t want to share these, don’t worry – I will call in general support from the sea for you instead.
~ You’ll make a home ocean altar
You’ll create a space in your home where you can connect physically to the sea during our time together. It can be blissfully simple – a beloved shell, a photo of the sea with a candle, or something grander, it’s entirely up to you.
~ You’ll tend to your inner ocean altar
Each month, you’ll receive some new short practices to clear and honour your internal ocean altar. This is the space within you that understands your deep connection to all things, and especially – to the sea.
As you slow down and regularly tend to this inner ocean altar, you soothe your nervous system, and form new neural pathways. You create space for your soul intuition to be heard. This is one of the most powerful parts of the practice.
~ You’ll act on your intention
As you practice honouring your intention at both of your altars – and I hold this for you in our sacred ocean space – you will start to attune more deeply to the ocean’s guidance. You’ll also be supported by individual and group readings from the Sea Soul Journeys Oracle Cards.
You’ll use all of this wisdom to take action that moves you forward toward your intention.

Ocean Altar: The Individual Journey lays out an invaluable package of individual support to move you forward – practically and spiritually. It contains all of the most powerful ways that I’m able to offer energetic, practical and physical support, working in alignment with the ocean.
Each month, you’ll receive a one-to-one Sea Soul Coaching session by zoom, an intuitive personal oracle card reading, and a distance reiki healing session. You’ll also benefit from all of the additional elements of the Group Journey described below.
This Individual Journey pathway provides a compassionate and powerful space in which to meet and move through your blocks and edges. Like the sea clearing the shore, so that you can uncover the magical gifts in your path.

Explore and reflect on the deeper flow of your journey with the sea as we move through each month. You’ll receive this as an audio recording made just for you at the start of each month. So that you’ll be able to revisit the ocean’s guidance as the month progresses.
~ A 60 minute sacred Sea Soul Coaching session live by zoom
Be held by me in loving presence as you clear your inner ocean altar, hone your deepest intentions, identify and overcome challenges as they arise, plan the detail of your next steps, and open up to new possibilities.
Together, we’ll define actions and practices to move you forward. You’ll act on these during the month. Step by step, you’ll create change that ripples out into your wider life.
~ A 40 minute distance reiki healing
Rest and be nurtured at the month’s midpoint. Receive some additional energetic healing to boost your overall wellbeing and release any energetic blocks. Some gentle empowerment to support you as you journey toward your intentions. You don’t need to do anything other than lie down somewhere comfortable for 40 minutes – and speak to me briefly at the start and the end of our session.

You’ll also receive everything offered in Ocean Altar: The Group Journey below. The ritual practices of the group journey are likely to hold a deeper resonance for you as we work together.
How will I hold the sacred space for you?
In addition to the individual support that I will provide to you on this journey, I will also carry out a series of rituals privately to support you and the group every month.
I will offer blessings to you and your intention, and hold you in loving presence – often, by the sea. I will also send healing energies for you to access at your Ocean Altar.

Each month, you’ll take a pause to refresh your ocean altar. You might simply clean and clear the area, you might rearrange, add or change something. You might choose to reflect the theme of the Sea Soul Journeys Oracle card that I draw for you here. As the weeks progress, you’ll continue to pause and connect to the sea here often. You’ll use this sacred space to ground and reconnect you.
~ You’ll tend to your inner ocean altar.
Whenever you have a moment, you’ll also clear and honour your inner altar. You might try a new practice I share that month – or simply strengthen those practices that already work for you. The more you are able to do this, the deeper and more powerful your practice becomes.
~ You’ll tend to your intention.
As you honour your intention and listen to ocean guidance at your ocean altars, you deepen your connection to the sea and to your own intuition. As the year progresses, you’ll become more able to use this connection to sense into your purpose with compassion and clarity. And to take empowered action that moves you forward.

About your Ocean Altar host
I’m Pippa Best of Sea Soul Blessings.
My spiritual connection to the sea has transformed my life for the better in every way.
My morning swim has become my prayer. And the benefits of this devotional time with the ocean have consistently rippled out into the world around me.
In loving the sea, I have learnt that I too am worthy of my own devotion. And that when I honour myself, I have greater capacity to respond lovingly to the dark and light of the world around us.
In recent years, I’ve trained as a reiki and EFT practitioner, in the practice of self-compassion and shamanic journeying.
I’ve also explored many powerful practices such as mindfulness, yoga, breathwork, tarot, dance, song and sound. I’m constantly curious, and always learning. One of my favourite practices of all is the hug!
My daily meditation, prayer and altar practices ground and support all that I offer here at Sea Soul Blessings. They also support me as a mother, wife, friend, community member and global citizen.
In 2018, my connection to the ocean led to me creating the first Sea Soul Blessings cards and book as a way to share the sea’s gifts with others. In 2022, my Sea Soul Journeys Oracle Cards were published worldwide by Welbeck, as was my Sea Soul Journal (including ocean rituals and mindful practices) at the end of 2023.
For many years, I’ve worked as a writer, coach and retreat host here by the sea in Cornwall – and online. I often work as a script editor, mentor and writing consultant. I’m an ICF accredited Blue Health Coach and trained life coach. I’ve been creating and hosting group coaching programmes and transformative experiences here in Cornwall in the far west of the UK (and online) for over 10 years.
So you can probably guess by now that I’m good at listening deeply – to others, to myself, and to the sea. Loving presence is my superpower. I’ve learnt that when you listen deeply and lovingly to another being, you bring a power that gently supports them to transform.
I have had many wonderful teachers over the years. And the ocean has been my greatest. In sacred reciprocity, I act as an ocean advocate and operate as a plastic-free business. I donate 10% of all sales made here – including monthly subscription fees – to environmental causes. I’m also a passionate sea swimmer, and keen eco-activist synchro swimmer with Out of Sink.
We are living through difficult times, and our connection to each other and to nature is needed more than ever. As you invite a deeper ocean connection into your life and honour the wisdom of the earth, so you develop the capacity to be the change that the world needs right now.

About our Cornish Ocean Altar
How wonderful it is that there are billions of Ocean Altars, all around the world. My favourite (other than the altar within me) lies just a few minutes from my house, here in Mounts Bay, in the far west of Cornwall. This is where I will hold our sacred space together.
It isn’t the prettiest of beaches, the most dramatic coastline, or a favoured holiday destination (thankfully – that means I often get it to myself!). Though it’s a favourite local spot for storm-watching when the waves crash against the granite promenade. And it has one of the most unique and varied collections of pebbles of anywhere in the British Isles.
I am not the only regular visitor to this altar. It is often claimed by seals and sandpipers, cormorants, pilchards and tiny eels. Sometimes swans, egrets and herons. More rarely, dolphins may be spotted in the distance. In recent storms, we saw a pilot whale. Underneath the water of this altar, spring gardens grow – a magical underworld of dabberlocks, sugarkelp and seagrass. This altar shows me our soul connection to nature, over and over again.
On the horizon lies the fairytale outline of St Michael’s Mount. A striking rocky island, topped by a castle and chapel rebuilt from ancient monastery stones, reachable only by a causeway at low tide. And by Penwith’s pilgrimage route, St Michael’s Way, which connects the Mount to the Camino de Santiago. On their journey to my altar, the waters will also have passed through several energetic ley lines that connect Mounts Bay to sacred sites not just within Penwith, but around the world.
With so much sacred magic colliding in one place, perhaps it is no surprise that this particular Ocean Altar has awakened a deeper sense of devotion and spirituality in me. Or that it has shaped such a powerful desire to pursue and share that here at Sea Soul Blessings – even when that feels a little scary.
As I have sought to find a deeper trust in a world that contains so much grief and horror, the more devotional parts of my ocean practice have deepened and expanded. In acknowledgement that we are all connected. That our actions – and our thoughts, blessings, prayers – have impact. In the truth that none of us are free until all are free.
Each morning, I respectfully ask the sea for permission to enter. I honour the ocean’s gifts with beach cleans, with my work here, and by raising funds for environmental projects. As I swim, I offer out my love.
By the sea, I claim the power of ritual alongside the change-making. I expand my practice of compassion and self-compassion. I increase my capacity to witness, learn, come together and transform.
And so, each morning, I find myself singing to the waves, slowly laying stones as blessings, or sending heartfelt wishes as invisible ships that race to the horizon. I pause to release what is ready to go as the waves draw back. I practice forgiveness, and listen. Breathing in with the waves’ return, I call in fresh guidance.
That guidance has led me on a wild and wonderful, life-changing journey so far. And now, that guidance calls me here, to share these Ocean Altar practices with you.

Yes, of course! I encourage you to join either pathway for Ocean Altar: The Journey for at least 3 months so that you can experience the benefits of being held in this space over a period of time.
But I know that sometimes life gets in the way. You are free to unsubscribe whenever you need – just cancel your subscription before the end of the month to avoid a payment being taken for the following month. Any problems, let me know.
How long do you recommend I follow the Ocean Altar: Individual Journey pathway?
You can choose to take this path a month at a time, and continue with this level of support for as many months as you like.
My recommendation would be to take this path for 3 months or more – as you are likely to get the most from this one-to-one support when we have time to create and revise your action plan and practices over a number of sessions together.
You can also switch between the pathways on a monthly basis. So you might begin with the Individual Journey for a couple of months, then shift to the Group Journey for a period of time, and then return to the Individual Journey again. That way, you get to take a pause to reap all the benefits, but stay connected and supported by me and the sea via the Group Journey.
Can I join up again later?
Yes, you can! My intention is to open Ocean Altar: The Journey to new members just four times a year, in order to preserve the energetic group connection to the sea over each three month period.
Are bursaries available?
It’s important that I honour the energy required to hold this sacred space for you each month. I also want to reach those who need it most. To meet that need, I’m offering the group journey option, and I’ve kept the pricing for this as low as possible.
I can potentially offer a small reduction for those in need, at £24 per month instead of £29. If this would make it possible for you to participate, please get in touch.
I will also hold a waiting list for any bursaries that might become available via donation.
Can I fund a bursary for someone else?
That would be amazing!
